From
7 to 14 February, NYC hosted the most famous designers from
all around the world. Famous fashion designer Atıl Kutoğlu
performed his show along with world known designers such as
Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. Kutoğlu’s
fashion show settled on the themes of earth, desert and sky,
was enriched by Günder’s exclusive leathers as
well as some others. The collection received great admiration
from over a thousand guests including celebrities and fashion
authorities.
Günder is a Turkish leather company founded
in 1986. Since then, it is working continuously on developing
new products. Günder’s philosophy is based on constant
improvement. They don’t only follow closely the latest
trends in fashion world, but also create their own trends.
Kutoğlu takes leather
and silk to a new level with earth and desert hand painted
pieces. Leathers are mostly crushed, pleathed and hand painted.
Worn out but precious look is especially very much in favor
as Günder executives say. The colors are very fascinating
varying from midnight blue to saffron, and ochre to pistachio
blend to from an exquisite palette.
Kutoğlu nods to his native Turkey with harem knee
pants, gold, pistachio, poppy paillettes and kaftans. The
mini dress and mini skirt are back in the most lady-like way-the
body is covered, the legs revealed. Hoods abound. Hand-painted
Günder Leather, cashmere, stone rolled wool and kangaroo
skin produce clean lines while, draped and ruched silks offer
fluidity completing the colletion.
